ECP takes notice of violations in election campaign

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of the violations of the code of conduct during the ongoing election campaign and imposed penalties on several candidates.

According to spokesman of ECP, two independent candidates Noor Aslam Afridi and Fawadullah Khan Afridi contesting from National Assembly constituency NA-35 were each imposed fines.

Similarly, Awami National Party candidate for Provincial Assembly Yaqoob Khan and independent candidate from Pakistan People’s Party Janidullah Afridi were also imposed fines.

The spokesman said monitoring teams in different districts have removed illegal campaign hoardings, banners and other election promotion material.
