Eid Tragedy in Bandipora as Fire Renders Families Homeless

Srinagar, A devastating fire in Bandipora district, Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, has resulted in significant loss, leaving two families without homes and a business destroyed on the eve of Eid. The incident has caused a stir in the local community as they grapple with the aftermath during what should have been a festive period.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the blaze, which occurred in the Ashtangoo area of Bandipora, engulfed two residential houses and a bakery shop, leading to complete destruction. The fire reportedly started late Tuesday night and quickly spread, causing extensive damage before it could be contained by the Fire and Emergency department.

The properties, owned by Mohammad Sultan Ganie and Gulam Mohammad Ganie, were completely consumed by the fire. Local residents made significant efforts to combat the flames, but despite their endeavors, the fire resulted in total loss. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire as investigations continue.
