Elections to be transparent and impartial – Jam Mehtab

Karachi, August 29, 2012 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Revenue, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that those who are making fuss for pre poll rigging, are the same who intend to rigging in the coming elections. Media and Judiciary are free. The allegation regarding distributing of secretariat funds to media men is quite baseless and a part of propaganda campaign against elected democratic government.

This he said while talking to media-men here at his office on Wednesday. He said that due to policies of President Asif Ali Zardari, democracy had got strength in the country and strong democracy was a guarantee to the prosperity of the nation and country. He said, ‘Strong democracy is helping in eradicating extremism and terrorism. Waseela-e-Haq and Benazir Income Support Program are reducing poverty in the country’.

Replying to a question he said that President Asif Ali Zardari was an undisputed President of the country and he was the president of 18 crore people. Provincial Minister added, ‘Nawaz Sharif has adopted illogical approach towards formation of new provinces. Sharif brothers should pay attention towards plight of Punjab and eradication of crimes in Punjab instead of criticizing present democratic government’.

He said that all political parities should forget their differences and should work together to eradicate extremism and terrorism in the country. They should prepare for coming elections. Election would be impartial and transparent.
