Islamabad, May 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan has again stated that elections would be held simultaneously across the country. Talking to media in Faisalabad, he said as per constitution, elections for the national and provincial assemblies should take place at the same time and under the Caretaker set up.
The Interior Minister said if elections are held in Punjab earlier than other provinces, then the polls will have an impact on federal elections. He said all parties need to come together to find out a solution for the current problems faced by the country.
Condemning the recent incident of Moulana Nigar, the Interior Minister directed the officials concerned to maintain law and order. He also appealed the religious scholars to play their effective role in defusing the situation.
