Electricity Crisis Deepens in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Affecting Daily Life and Business

Srinagar, The electricity crisis in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir has intensified, leading to significant disruptions for both residents and the business community. Unscheduled and prolonged power outages are becoming increasingly frequent, affecting the daily activities and economic stability of the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the situation has sparked widespread criticism of the occupation authorities, with accusations that the crisis is being managed poorly. A senior government official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, suggested that the Modi-led Indian regime is intentionally exacerbating the power shortages to negatively impact the territory’s economy and other sectors.

Residents like Javid Ahmad are experiencing severe disruptions, with electricity available for only a few hours each day, which hinders both personal and professional activities. The business sector is particularly hard hit, as shopkeepers and other entrepreneurs incur additional expenses by using generators to maintain their operations.

The ongoing power shortages highlight the broader challenges of infrastructure and resource management in the region, as calls for more effective governance and immediate resolution to the electricity supply issues grow louder.
