Exchange of prisoners list between Pakistan and India

Islamabad, July 02, 2012 (PPI-OT): According to the Agreement on Consular Access signed between Pakistan and India on 21 May 2008, both countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners in each other’s custody twice a year, on 1 January and 1 July, respectively.

Consistent with the provisions of this Agreement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a list of Indian prisoners in Pakistan to the Indian High Commission in Islamabad today, 1st July 2012 being a closed holiday.
