Explosion at Andhra Pradesh Pharma Firm Kills 13, Injures 33

Amaravati: A devastating explosion at Escientia, a pharmaceutical company in Andhra Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of 13 employees and injuries to 33 others. The incident took place in the Atchutapuram Special Economic Zone (SEZ), disrupting what was a routine lunch hour for many.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the explosion occurred near the reactor site of the facility, although it did not involve the reactor itself. Anakapalli Superintendent of Police, Deepika Patil, confirmed the casualties and noted that the exact cause of the blast is still under investigation.

The injured were quickly transported to Anakapalli NTR Hospital and another local private hospital for emergency medical treatment.
