Farooq Abdullah Highlights Urgency for Peace in Kashmir, Calls for India-Pakistan Cooperation

Srinagar: Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the National Conference, has raised alarms over the critical conditions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and advocated for peace as essential for the prosperity of both India and Pakistan.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a press interaction in Srinagar, Abdullah characterized the current state of affairs in IIOJK as perilous and unsettling. He voiced a fervent call for peace between India and Pakistan, indicating that the ongoing tensions are counterproductive.

Abdullah also appealed to the Indian government to address the increasing attacks on its forces in the region. He emphasized the mutual benefits of peace, stating, “We believe that peace is the only path to prosperity for both India and Pakistan,” and expressed his hopes for enhanced bilateral relations.
