Islamabad, May 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Mr Sajid Hussain Turi has arrived in Tashkent on the invitation of Mr. Bekhzod Musaev, minister for employment and poverty reduction, Uzbekistan to attend the international conference ” Uzbekistan’s poverty reduction experience: assessing and implementing in developing countries” He is accompanied by Zulfiqar Ahmad, secretary workers welfare fund. Officials from the Uzbekistan foreign ministry and Pakistan high commission welcomed the participants.
This visit carries special significance in respect of poverty reduction in developing countries like Pakistan. The forum is organized by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms CERR with the support of UNDP and UNICEF. More than 200 participants are expected to take part. The participants will review the methods and results of Uzbekistan’s achievements in the implementation of measures to combat poverty.
