Finland Ambassador calls on Sindh Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro

Karachi, May 21, 2014 (PPI-OT): Ambassador of Finland in Pakistan Rauli Suikkanen along with his honorary Consul General called on Sindh Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at his office here on Wednesday.

They discussed betterment of education, trade, law and order situation and mutual interest matters. Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro while talking to Rauli Suikkanen Ambassador of Finland in Pakistan said Karachi is most favorite city for foreign investment and Sindh is rich in the agriculture, production such as cotton, rice other food grains, fruits and vegetables besides this province was blessed with the coal reserves wind corridor for the energy production.

He said Sindh government has established special Economic Zones for the foreign investment in the Karachi. He said besides Education City has also been established where many reputable international organizations either are establishing their campus or making joint venture with public and private organizations. He said Sindh is an only Province who has established a university of Law. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said Sindh government has established Investment Board only to facilitate the investors.

He invited Rauli Suikkanen his country to invest here in education city besides in other manufacturing and energy projects. He said potential of government’s incentives and cheap labor and vast raw material for agro oriented and energy production was available.

Rauli Suikkanen said we were aware Karachi has importance in this regard. He took interest in the telecom sector, weather forecast, manufacturing of equipments of different fields. He desired for having joint working group of both side to boost up the trade and commerce relations.
