IIOJK’s UPSC Rank Holder Seerat Baji Celebrated in Rajouri

Jammu, UPSC rank holder Seerat Baji was warmly welcomed back to her hometown in Rajouri, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, following her successful achievement in the UPSC CSE 2023 examinations, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 516.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Seerat, who hails from the remote village of Kanthol, approximately 70 kilometers from Rajouri, achieved this remarkable feat on her second attempt. Her success has been seen as a symbol of the increasing emergence of talented young women from the region in competitive fields.

Speaking to local media upon her return, Seerat shared her observations on the trend of educational attainment in her area, noting that girls are increasingly excelling across various domains. She highlighted the expectation that each year, at least one girl from the region will feature on the toppers list, reflecting a broader shift toward gender parity in education and professional success in traditionally less accessible areas.
