Forum terms ban on seminar as worst state terrorism

Srinagar, June 11, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has termed the imposition of ban on a seminar scheduled to be held at Hyderpora in Srinagar, today, to pay homage to the martyrs of 2010 uprising as the worst example of Indian state terrorism.

The Forum spokesman in a statement in Srinagar, today, said that the restriction on the seminar was tantamount not only to rubbing salt on the wounds of the relatives of the Kashmiri martyrs but also to encouraging the personnel of Indian police and armed forces, who were involved in the killing of the innocent Kashmiris.

People hailing from various walks of life were expected to the seminar, which was to be chaired by Syed Ali Gilani.

Heavy contingent of police were deployed on all roads leading towards the forum’s office in Hyderpora and the people intending to participate in the seminar were forcibly sent back by the police. Even the journalists were not allowed to cover it.

The spokesman terming it as one of the biggest mistakes of India said that India had learnt nothing in the past 65 years.
