Karachi, Haji Ghani Usman, the Businessmen Panel’s (BMP) candidate for Senior Vice President in the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) elections, has committed to developing effective economic policies to stabilize and boost Pakistan’s economy. This pledge was made during a dinner speech in honor of the BMP candidates.
According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Usman emphasized the need for all institutions in Pakistan to function correctly to attract investments. He assured that, if successful in the election, the BMP would work under its leadership to formulate and present strong economic policies to the government, aiming to achieve stability in trade and industry.
Usman also reflected on the past contributions of BMP-elected officials who addressed the business community’s problems with the government. He expressed confidence in the BMP candidates’ success in the upcoming federation election on December 30 and their continued service to the business community. He highlighted the need for further work in the agricultural sector and plans for developing uninhabited lands.
Rafiq Sulaiman, vice-presidential candidate, discussed the achievements in the rice export sector, noting a significant increase to 2.2 billion dollars with a target of reaching 3 billion dollars by the end of the financial year. He mentioned expanding Pakistani rice markets, including Russia, China, and Africa, specifically Kenya.
Presidential candidate Muhammad Ali commented on the current high-interest rates and the challenges they pose to business operations. He committed to providing the government with positive data and ensuring the inclusion of every association in their plans.
Imran Tessori, representing the jewelry sector, emphasized the unique opportunity for this sector in the FPCCI and pledged to work for the best interests of all sectors, including jewelry. Tauqeer Malik spoke about the challenges in the shipping sector and the commitment to address these issues through the FPCCI platform.
Naved Baloch from the business panel in Balochistan expressed confidence in the BMP’s candidate lineup for the federation election, assuring effective dialogue with the government under their leadership.
The FPCCI elections and the commitments made by BMP candidates indicate a focused effort towards strengthening Pakistan’s economic framework, emphasizing sector-specific growth and broad-based policy initiatives.
