France condemns attacks which resulted in more than 110 deaths in Quetta

Paris, January 11, 2013 (PPI-OT): “France strongly condemns the attacks which resulted in more than 110 deaths on the 10th of January 2013 in the city of Quetta and in the Swat valley in Pakistan. Within this harrowing context, France conveys its feelings of solidarity to the Pakistani people and stands on their side in the fight against terrorism.

Targeting the Shia community, the attacks in Quetta have been particularly deadly and participate to the intensification in the past month of violence against this community. We call for the Pakistani authorities to take all possible measures to put an end to sectarian violence and fight all forms of extremism on their territory.”
