Gillette Pakistan Shareholders Elect New Directors in Karachi

Karachi, Gillette Pakistan Limited confirmed the minutes from its last Annual General Meeting and elected seven directors during an Extraordinary General Meeting held on June 24, 2024.

The meeting, a requirement under clause 5.6.9(b) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Rule Book, saw shareholders pass resolutions that included the confirmation of the previous year’s meeting minutes and the election of a new board of directors. The minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on October 25, 2023, were officially received, recorded, and confirmed without amendment.

The newly elected directors, who will serve for a three-year term beginning immediately, include Saad Un Nabi Khan, Muhammad Fahad Saleem, Muhammad Usman, Zara Nadeem Ali (the appointed female director), Muhammad Taha Hussain, Saad Amanullah Khan (independent director), and Mehr Alvi Malik (independent director).

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these elections are consistent with the governance requirements of the Companies Act, 2017, which mandates the election of directors by the board under section 159(1) for specified terms.
