Government and META Collaborate on Child Online Safety Initiatives

Islamabad: Barrister Aqeel Malik, the Government Spokesperson on Legal Affairs, recently led a meeting with the META team and Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) to discuss new child online safety measures. The meeting highlighted the launch of the #TakeItDown portal in Urdu, in partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), designed to combat the non-consensual sharing of images and enhance digital safety.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the introduction of the #TakeItDown portal marks a significant step towards creating a safer digital environment for children. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote digital responsibility and protect the rights of millions of internet users across the country.
