Peshawar, March 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): On the occasion of Pakistan Day, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Shaukatullah, on behalf of the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, conferred civil awards on 10 outstanding individuals at an impressive ceremony held at the Governor’s House, Peshawar on Saturday. High ranking officials and prominent citizens attended the ceremony. Provincial Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastagir Akhtar read out the brief citation of each recipient of the awards on the occasion.
Those who earned the civil awards included Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, Prof. Dr. Khan Bahadur Marwat, Senator Ghulam Ali, Syed Aqil Shah, Dr. Murad Ali Khan, Dr. Tasleem Akhtar, Dr. Masood Khan, Mr. Ahmad Gul, Mr. Said Rahman and Syed Mir Mehdi Shah Mehdi (late) whose award was received by his son Syed Hussain Ali Shah.
