Governor of Sindh Highlights Importance of Renewable Energy at Longi Forum in Karachi

Karachi, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori emphasized the significance of advancing the renewable energy sector to address the energy crisis and reduce electricity costs during his address at the Longi Renewable Forum. The ceremony highlighted the potential of solar energy and wind projects, especially in Pakistan’s coastal areas.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori was welcomed by James Jin, President of the Meena Region for Longi Solar. In his speech, the Governor acknowledged the importance of solar power in the context of rising electricity costs and described the promotion of renewable energy as a necessary step. He noted that coastal regions hold vast energy opportunities and mentioned ongoing large-scale wind power projects. The Governor also highlighted the prioritization of the energy sector in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Provincial Energy Minister Nasir Hussain Shah also spoke at the event.
