Govt committed to empower women: Shaza

Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has said the government is committed to empowering women due to immense importance of their role in national development.

Addressing the Webinar titled ‘Women Shaping the Tech Landscape of Pakistan’ in Islamabad, she said steps are underway to empower women by equipping them with digital skills.

Shaza Fatima said with better digital skills women can also work online while sitting at home and added that the Ministry of IT is focused on skill development and capacity building of youth, especially women.
