Govt striving to make Pakistan smoking-free: PM

Islamabad, June 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed the resolve to save future generations from smoking as it is injurious to health. Talking to the Chromatic Chief Executive Officer Shariq Khan in Islamabad on Thursday, he termed smoking free Pakistan as the topmost priority of government.

Shehbaz Sharif was also briefed about the campaign named Tobacco Control Alliance for Pakistan launched with the view to assist the government to end the smoking in country with the collaboration of Bloomberg Philanthropies. The Prime Minister applauded the said campaign regarding the end of smoking in the country.
