Gujjar-Bakerwal living a miserable life In IIOJK: Aquib Wani

Jammu, January 20, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association (JKPA) has expressed concern over the living conditions of Gujjars and Bakerwals in different areas of the territory. During his visit to far-flung areas of Rajouri, JKPA Chairman Aquib Wani said that after abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, India had stepped up its drive to displace the Muslim members of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities through destroying their houses.

Aquib Wani while interacting with members of Gujjar community said on one hand, India is trying to befool Gujjars over forest rights and on other, demolition drive is at its full swing in such harsh winter days. He expressed his solidarity with a nomad family who lost its livestock because of fire incident. Aquib Wani was accompanied by Nadeem Mirza, Chowdhary Liaqat and Naveed Qazi.
