Karachi, Hira Textile Mills Limited has announced its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to take place on June 26, 2023, in Lahore. The AGM aims to address important business matters that were deferred by the members in a previous meeting held on November 26, 2022.
The following key agenda items will be discussed during the AGM:
1. Receipt and adoption of the audited accounts of the company for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2022, along with the Directors and auditor’s reports.
2. Consideration of the appointment of external auditors for the financial year ending June 30, 2023.
To ensure a smooth and transparent process, the company has outlined specific guidelines for the attendance and participation of members and proxies:
1. Members who are entitled to attend and vote at the AGM may appoint a proxy to represent them. Only a member is allowed to act as a proxy. The instrument appointing a proxy, along with the power of attorney or other relevant authority, must be deposited at the registered office of the company at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. The document should be duly stamped, signed, and witnessed.
2. Individual beneficial owners of CDC (Central Depository Company) shares who wish to attend and vote at the meeting must bring their original CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) or passport, along with their account and participant ID numbers to verify their identity. In the case of proxies, an attested copy of their CNIC or passport must also be enclosed.
3. The members residing in the vicinity, collectively holding 10% or more shareholding, can choose to attend and participate in the AGM through a video conference facility. To exercise this option, they must provide their written consent to participate in the AGM through video conference at least ten (10) days before the AGM date.
