IG Punjab Allocates Funds for Health Welfare of Police Families

Lahore, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has demonstrated a strong commitment to the health welfare of police employees and their families by allocating 16 lakh rupees to support their medical needs. This initiative is aimed at assisting police personnel across various districts including Lahore, ensuring that they and their families receive necessary medical treatments.

According to Punjab Police, several police employees benefited from this financial aid, including ASI Ghulam Ali and Inspector Muhammad Tufail Meeran, who received substantial amounts for the medical treatments of their children’s severe health conditions. The funds were distributed after careful scrutiny by the Welfare Management Committee to ensure that they were used for critical health issues such as kidney failure, cancer, and polio. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the police department’s familial ethos and pledged to enhance health welfare measures beyond previous efforts, underlining the department’s commitment to its personnel.
