IG Punjab Orders Swift Action in Layyah Land Dispute Killing

Layyah: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken immediate action regarding the recent incident where two individuals were killed due to a land dispute in Layyah. The incident has prompted a vigorous response from the provincial police force, highlighting the urgency of addressing such violent disputes.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar has instructed the District Police Officer (DPO) of Layyah to ensure the prompt arrest of the accused, Qaiser Hussain, who is alleged to have fatally shot Niaz and Safdar in Chah Yaseenwala, Layyah. The IGP has demanded that the accused be brought to justice swiftly to facilitate the delivery of justice to the victims’ families. This incident underscores the ongoing challenges of land disputes in the region and the police’s role in mediating and resolving such conflicts.
