IG Punjab Visits Wounded Officer in Lahore Hospital

Lahore, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, visited a private hospital in Lahore to check on the condition of Inspector Shahid Iqbal, who is currently receiving treatment after being seriously injured in a shooting incident.

According to Punjab Police, during his visit, Dr. Anwar inquired about the medical care being provided to Inspector Iqbal and expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery. Inspector Iqbal, who serves as a Station House Officer (SHO) in Sargodha, was attacked by unidentified assailants while returning home from duty. The shooting resulted in severe injuries to his left leg. Dr. Anwar highlighted the sacrifices made by police officers like Inspector Iqbal, stating that the Punjab Police takes pride in its role as a guardian force, which includes over 1700 brave officers who have been injured in the line of duty.
