Srinagar, April 15, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed the detention of a Bandipora youth lodged in Agra jail, India, under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the detainee, Ashiq Hussain Teli, a resident of Watrina Bandipora, presently residing at Khoshal Colony Tulibal, Sopore, is presently lodged at Central Jail in Agra in the Indian northern state of Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested by Indian police in Bandipora in January 2022 where he was working as a ‘Cook’ at a local restaurant. Police claimed that he was arrested on charges of ‘stone-pelting’.
