Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani talked to all the political leadership of the country across the board on telephone to take them into confidence on Pakistan-India bilateral talk being held in New Delhi. He informed them of the agenda of talk and progress of deliberations in various sectors between the two countries. The Pakistani delegation, he mentioned, is led by Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Other members of the delegation are Mr. Salman Bashir, Foreign Secretary and other concerned officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The dialogue, he said, would cover all aspects and issues between the two countries including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
The entire political leadership expressed confidence and extended complete support to the Pakistan delegation for talks with the Indian delegation.
Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister for Foreign Affairs carries complete mandate of the Government and the opposition during her interaction with the Indian Officials and would be able to put across Pakistan’s perspective with confidence.
The political leaders with whom the Prime Minister exchanged views included Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Quaid PML (N), Mr. Imran Khan, Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pir Pagaro, PML (Functional), Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Chief of the JUI, Mr. Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, PPP (Sherpao), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, President PML (Q) and Mr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Governor Sindh (MQM).
