Indian forces kill Naxal guerrilla commander in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 02, 2023 (PPI-OT):Indian troops killed a veteran Naxal guerrilla commandant Nandlal in the Indian disturbed state of Chhattisgarh. The personnel of Indian Army, police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force during a cordon and search operation killed the Naxal guerrilla commandant identified as Nandlal in a forest in Nabarangpur area of the state. The deceased is the deputy commandant of Udanti LOS (Local Organizing Squad), police said.

Meanwhile, five districts in the Indian state of Odisha have been put on high alert post the Naxal guerrillas’ attack in Chhattisgarh on April 26, 2023. Pertinently, a high alert had been issued in Malkangari, Nabarangpur and Nuapada districts and now the same has been sounded in Bargarh and Kalahandi districts. Earlier on April 26, there was an IED attack on a vehicle of Indian forces carrying DRG (District Reserve Guard) personnel near Aranpur in Dantewada district. As many as 11 Indian forces’ personnel were killed in the attack.
