Indian Forces Reportedly Kill Eight Naxalite Rebels in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur, Indian security forces have reportedly killed eight Naxalite rebels in an operation in the Pedia forest area of Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, escalating the long-standing conflict in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the clash involved more than 1,200 personnel from Indian forces, resulting in the deaths of both male and female rebels. This recent operation follows another encounter earlier in the week in the same area where six Naxal rebels were killed. The ongoing violence highlights the continuing strife in Chhattisgarh, where Naxal insurgents have long demanded independence from India.
