Indian Troops Kill Nine in Jammu and Kashmir During October Operations

Srinagar: In a series of operations throughout October, Indian security forces killed nine people in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, among those killed, three were involved in incidents described as fake encounters in two different locations within the region. These operations reportedly left three women widowed and six children orphaned.

The report further details that Indian Army, paramilitary forces, police, and agents from both the National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency carried out 148 cordon and search operations. These led to the arrest of 169 individuals over the course of the month.
