Indus Motor Company Announces Temporary Closure of Production Plant Due to Supply Chain Issues

Karachi: Indus Motor Company Limited has announced a temporary shutdown of its vehicle production plant due to ongoing supply chain challenges affecting the availability of parts and components. The closure will span from 15th July 2024 to 22nd July 2024, encompassing both days.

The decision, compelled by a currently low inventory of manufactured vehicles and a parts shortage, aims to manage the operational disruptions caused by these supply chain constraints. The company, adhering to the regulations of the Securities Act 2015 and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), disclosed this information to ensure transparency and compliance with financial disclosure requirements.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), stakeholders, including TRE Certificate holders, have been duly informed about the temporary halt. Indus Motor Company also noted that any changes to the planned shutdown period would be communicated to the exchange and its investors promptly.

The company’s proactive communication regarding the plant shutdown reflects its commitment to regulatory compliance and investor communication, as outlined under Section 96 and 131 of the Securities Act 2015 and Clause 5.6.1 (a) of PSX Regulations.
