Interior Minister visits NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad

Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad today.

The Minister directed the authorities concerned to immediately block mobile SIM cards which have been issued on invalid and expired identity cards.

He said model NADRA offices should be set up across the country and directed to ensure complete security of citizens’ data.

He said death certificate fee is being abolished for the convenience of the public.

On the occasion, the Minister also chaired a meeting where Chairman NADRA Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar presented NADRA roadmap for 2024-25.

The roadmap includes a modern and phased security architecture, cyber security audits, upgradation of NADRA technology and improving online platforms for registration.

The facilities will not only benefit citizens across the country but also those living abroad.
