Ishaq Dar and Rana Mahmood ul Hassan elected as Senators

Ishaq Dar of PML-N and Rana Mahmood ul Hassan of PPP have been elected Senators on Islamabad Federal Capital Territory seats.

On technocrat seat, Ishaq Dar secured 222 votes while Raja Ansar Mahmood of Sunni Ittehad Council got 81 votes.

On general seat, Rana Mahmood ul Hassan won with 224 votes while his rival candidate Farzand Hussain Shah of Sunni Ittehad Council could get 79 votes.
