Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to make funeral arrangements for its deceased members

Islamabad, August 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has constituted a Funeral Committee to make funeral arrangements for its deceased members with Mr. Amin ur Rehman as the Chairman of the Committee.

For this purpose, ICCI has created a fund to meet the funeral expenses of deceased members. ICCI members would contribute donations to the fund. It was decided that ICCI would provide funeral service to its deceased members, their fathers/mothers and children. Only those members would avail this service who would be residing in the jurisdiction of Islamabad.

Chairing the meeting, Zafar Bakhtawari, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that ICCI is not only providing facilitation services to its members, it would also make arrangements for the funeral of its deceased members. ICCI is the first Chamber of the country that has decided to provide this service to its members.

He said ICCI has developed a Standard Operating Procedure for funeral arrangements and in case of death of any member, any of her/his parents or child, ICCI should be informed immediately so that Funeral Committee could circulate the death news to ICCI members and start making funeral arrangements.

The Committee would coordinate with Assistant Director Graveyards CDA to arrange space, prepare grave and make all other required arrangements for funeral as well as post funeral arrangements.

Mian Muhammad Razzak Assistant Director Graveyards and Syed Mutahir Zaidi Supervisor Graveyards of CDA also attended the meeting and assured full support of CDA to ICCI for this humanitarian service.
