Islamabad Police Departmental Promotion Committee Recommends Staff Upgrades

Islamabad: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Islamabad Police held a meeting to review and recommend promotions for ministerial staff, following a directive from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, chaired by DIG Headquarters Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer and attended by AIG Establishment Abdul Haque Umrani and AIG Investigation Inayat Ali Shah, focused on evaluating the service records of 23 ministerial staff members for promotion to vacant positions. The committee forwarded its recommendations to IG Islamabad for final approval, with notifications expected to be issued upon endorsement.

IG Islamabad emphasized the importance of promotion as a fundamental right of every police officer, stating that all officers who have completed the necessary departmental promotion courses will be promoted based on their seniority and record of service. He reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the police force as a top priority.
