Islamabad to Establish International Standard Zoo and Safari Park

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has given the green light for the creation of a zoo and safari park in Islamabad that will meet international standards, aiming to boost tourism in the capital.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi announced the plan during a meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters, revealing that the groundbreaking is scheduled for October. He emphasized that the zoo and safari park, covering an area of two hundred acres, will feature a diverse collection of five thousand animals and birds.

The Interior Minister also directed the relevant authorities to ensure the new facilities are registered with the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, affirming the commitment to maintaining global standards in animal care and visitor experience.
