Islamia Girls College Quetta Celebrates Dual Anniversary with Emphasis on Education’s Role in Nation-Building

Quetta: Islamia Girls College in Quetta celebrated its 33rd anniversary and Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a vibrant ceremony, highlighting the pivotal role of education in national development. The event featured Provincial Adviser on Environment and Climate Change Naseemur Rahman Mullah Khel as the chief guest, who underscored the foundational impact of educated thinkers on Pakistan’s independence and future prosperity.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during his address, Adviser Mullah Khel emphasized the importance of education in safeguarding both the ideological and geographical integrity of the nation. He pointed out that the educated leaders who conceptualized Pakistan wielded their knowledge as a powerful tool to establish and nurture the country. Principal Madam Farida Yasmin of Islamia Girls College also spoke at the event, outlining both the achievements and challenges faced by the institution over the years.

The ceremony also included the distribution of certificates and prizes to students who excelled in various event activities, reinforcing the college’s commitment to recognizing and fostering academic and extracurricular talents. Towards the conclusion of the event, a souvenir was presented to Adviser Mullah Khel, marking the appreciation and significance of the day’s celebrations.
