Jammu Muslims protest against puppet minister Lal Singh

Srinagar, May 22, 2016 (PPI-OT):Members of Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) staged a protest demonstration in Talab Khatikan against the threat of massacre to Jammu Muslims by puppet Forest Minister Lal Singh. The protesters led by JMF President Imran Qazi were carrying placards assembled outside the Jama Masjid Talab Khatikan. They were shouting slogans against Lal Singh and asked the puppet Chief Minister of the territory, Mehbooba Mufti to sack the controversial and communal minister.

“The families said the minister not only scolded them but also abused and threatened them,” said the Front president Imran Qazi. He appealed Mehbooba to personally look into the issue and take stern action against the Forest Minister for his irresponsible and threatening remarks. He said the Forest Minister’s remarks have refreshed horrible memories of 1947 massacre. He said the government should ensure that such remarks are not made in future because it creates problem in maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Gujjar Bakerwal Students Welfare Association (GBSWA), Senior Vice President, Zahid Parwaiz Choudhary reacted on the statement of Minister of Forest and Ecology, Lal Singh. Zahid said the minister instead of listening to their problems abused them and threw them out of his office.

Ch Yaseen Poswal, General Secretary of Gujjar Bakerwal Conference, demanded stern action against the minister. He said the Gujjars of Jammu and Kashmir were not in the same position as they were in 1947, and the minister should remind the authorities to return the encroached land of Gujjars during 1947 massacre.
