JKML condemns arrest of party leader

Srinagar, January 26, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has condemned the arrest of party leader, Abdul Ahad Parra, and said that harassment of Hurriyat leaders and common people has no legal or moral justification.

The JKML General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai in a statement issued in Srinagar said the oppressive measures cannot break or weaken the resolve of Hurriyat leaders and instead will further strengthen their commitment to continue their struggle for the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

He demanded early and unconditional release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails and appealed to the world human rights bodies to take note of these illegal detentions.
