JKPM supports shutdown call on Tuesday

Srinagar, June 21, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement, Ghulam Ahmed Mir has supported the call for shutdown on Tuesday on the arrival of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi in Kashmir.

The JKPM Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Rajouri said, “I appeal to the people of Kashmir to observe a complete strike on that day to remind India and the world that Jammu Kashmir is an unresolved dispute.”

He said that the 25th June strike would also highlight the resentment of the peoples against “narrowing down the political space for the Hurriyet by the authorities”.
