Justice Qazi Faez Isa takes oath as new CJP

Justice Qazi Faez Isa was sworn in as new Chief Justice of Pakistan in Islamabad on Sunday.

President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to the 29th chief justice of the Supreme Court at a ceremony.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar, federal ministers, Army Chief, judges, former chief justices, governors and members from legal fraternity attended the oath taking ceremony.

Justice Faiz Isa has an association with the law spanning over forty-five years.

He worked as a lawyer for about 27 years and was appointed as the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court on 5 August 2009.

He was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court on 5 September 2014.
