Karachi, May 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that journalists and their organizations highlight errors and hidden aspects of society and play vital role in resolving the issues and also transpire lapse and social and moral evils and bring administration’s attention to the issue.
He said this on the occasion of luncheon given in honour of officials and members of Karachi Press Club. On this occasion Metropolitan Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan, Financial Advisor Khalid Shaikh, President of Karachi Press Club Imtiaz Khan Faran, Secretary Amir Latif, Director Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid, members of Governing body, renowned journalists from different news papers and other officers were present.
Administrator Karachi said that persons associated with media do coverage in every type of situation and deliver latest updates to the citizens which was admirable.
He said that several journalists during their duties have sacrificed their lives and many of them were also injured. Working in difficult situations was only for performing responsibilities properly.
He said that many problems of society come forward through media and visiting whole city for review was very difficult however; media highlighting problems help us and we do our best to resolve those problems.
He said that indoor games, cultural, literal and educational programs should be held for members and families of Karachi Press Club for which KMC will fully cooperate.
On this occasion president of Karachi Press Club Imtiaz Khan Faran and Secretary Amir Latif thanked Administrator Karachi Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi and said that KMC has always supported Karachi Press Club for which we were thankful to Administration KMC.
Administrator KMC on this occasion presented traditional Ajrak and KMC Shield to the Secretary Sindh and President of Press Club.
