Karachi, July 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi has said that participation of a good number of citizens in Pet Show held in Karachi Zoo was actually their faith on efforts of KMC which were being made for provision of quality and reasonable recreation facilities along with development of the city. Cloudy weather has also made pet show more attractive.
He said this while inaugurating pet show in Karachi Zoo on Friday. On this occasion Sr. Director CSR Shoaib Waqar, Director Zoo Faheem Khan, Director Safari Park Tariq Naseer, other officers and a good number of citizens were also present.
Administrator Karachi said that development projects were underway in the city in which sports and recreation projects were also included.
He said that more facilities for interest of the citizens would be provided in Hill Park, Polo Ground, Karachi Zoo and Safari Park and efforts for improving sports and recreation facilities for citizens were being made.
He said that considering interest of citizens such activities would be carried on whereas earlier pet show in safari park has been held successfully which was attended by a good number of citizens therefore it was decided to continue this pet show so that citizens along with recreation facilities would be provided with information about pet animals and birds.
Zoo was an excellent place for holding such shows where various types of animals and birds were already source of information and interest for citizens and now through this pet show they have been provided with a unique entertainment activity.
He said that Summer Camp for children has also been held in KMC Sports Complex where training of various sports was provided.
Administrator Karachi said that more facilities were being provided in KMC parks. Various pet animals, beautiful colorful birds and crawling animals were included in this pet show whereas stalls were also set up for children and women. The pet show will continue from 3pm to 7pm daily till 7th July.
