State Minister for Privatisation to inaugurate Seminar on Regional Cooperation in South Asia

Islamabad, July 05, 2013 (PPI-OT): Engr. Kuhurram Dastagir, State Minister for Privatisation will inaugurate Seminar “creating synergies for Regional cooperation in South Asia” on Saturday, the 6th July 2013 in a local hotel at Islamabad. The seminar is being organised by SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Regional Directorate located at New Delhi, India.

Mr. Qasim Niaz, Secretary Commerce, Government of Pakistan, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik, Vice President SAARC CCI (Pakistan) and former President FPCCI, Mr. Muhammad Ali Sheikh, Vice President of FPCCI, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman Senate Committee on Defence and Muhammad Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General of SAARC CCI will also address the inaugural session.

The inaugural session will be followed by a technical session to chaired by Ms. Riffat Masood, DG (South Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan and will be addressed by Heads/ representatives of SAARC Organisations in Pakistan i.e. SAARC Energy Centre, SAARC Arbitration Council, SAARC Human Resources Development Centre in Pakistan and South Asian Sustainable Strategy Institute.

The seminar aims at finding ways and means to create synergies amongst South Asian organizations to deep regional integration process in South Asia to be attended by representatives of Public and Private organizations, NGOs, CSOs and academic institutions.
