Late-Season Snowfall Disrupts Daily Life in Gurez Valley

Srinagar, Gurez Valley in Bandipora district experienced a significant late-season snowfall on Monday, which has disrupted daily life across the region in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the area received over a foot of snow, resulting in the closure of schools and creating shortages of essential supplies. The snowfall led to the closure of the Bandipora-Gurez road at Razdhan Top, further isolating the valley.

The adverse weather extended beyond the valley, with rains hitting the plains of Kashmir, including Srinagar, which resulted in a drop in temperatures and damage to several houses in Poonch district due to the incessant rains.
