National Assembly of Pakistan Prorogued on April 19, 2024

Islamabad, In an official exercise of constitutional authority, the President of Pakistan has prorogued the National Assembly effective April 19, 2024, as the legislative body concluded its business.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the decision to prorogue the assembly was taken under clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This marks the end of the current session which had been active in Islamabad.
