Karachi to host SOA School Games Feb 2016 in Feb and 17th Sindh Games 2016 in April 2016

Karachi, January 04, 2016 (PPI-OT): The General council Meeting of Sindh Olympic Association held at Muslim Gymkhana, Karachi on today under the chairmanship of Dr. Javed Yousaf. All Provincial Sports Associations and Divisional Olympic Associations took part in this meeting. The meeting was started from Holy Quran by Saleem Paracha. The SOA house elected the Syed Zahid Rizvi and Muhammad Iqbal as Senior Vice President and VP of SOA respectively. The house also allotted the SOA School Games 2016 to Karachi Olympic Association which will be held from 9th to 11th February 2016 at Karachi. All schools from Sindh province will take part in this mega event. The following sports discipline included in SOA School Games and the meeting of Org. Committee will be held in next week.

11. Football

14. Gymnastic

The house also approved the organization of 17th Sindh Games which will be held in different areas of Sindh through Divisional Olympic Associations. The 17th Sindh Games will consisted on 6-Editions and five sports discipline./ events will be include in each phase.

1st Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Karachi in the 1st week of April 2016

2nd Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Benazirabad in August 2016

3rd Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Hyderabad in the last week of December 2016

4th Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Larkana in February 2017

5th Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Mirpurkhas in June 2017

6th Edition of 17th Sindh Games will be held at Sukkur in September 2017
