Kashmir settlement imperative for peace in S. Asia: Nayeem

Srinagar, January 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan has said that the permanent peace in South Asia is not possible as long as the Kashmir dispute remains resolved. Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that both Pakistan and India were claiming to have peace process and ceasefire in place even then the unfortunate incidents on the Line of Control (LoC) took place, which totally changed the situation within no time.

He said that India, on one hand, talks to Pakistan about Kashmir, while on the other, it repeats the statements of ‘Atoot Ung’ (integral part). He said that this dual policy of New Delhi was main hurdle in the way of Kashmir settlement.

The APHC leader said India was mistaken if it considered that its dual and cruel policies would make the Kashmiris surrender their demand of right to self-determination. He said that a recently released video clip was enough proof that India had given a free hand to its forces to commit human rights violations with impunity in the occupied territory.
