Kashmiri Lawyer Mian Muzzafar Detained Under Public Safety Act in IIOJK

Srinagar: In a recent series of legal actions under the Public Safety Act (PSA), Indian police detained another lawyer, Mian Muzzafar, during a midnight operation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muzzafar’s arrest late Sunday night is the third such incident involving lawyers in the region within the last two weeks. This follows the earlier detention of Senior Advocate and Chairperson of the IIOJK High Court Bar Association, Nazir Ronga, last Thursday. Prior to these events, Mian Abdul Qayoom, a former Bar Association President, was also arrested at his residence in Srinagar under what has been described as a fabricated case.
