Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister briefed about Health Department in detail

Peshawar, March 28, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Health, Dr. Farrukh Seir was briefed about the Health Department at the Committee Room of Health Department Peshawar on Wednesday. The Secretary Health Muhammad Ishfaq Khan gave briefing to the Minister in detail and informed him about the Rules of Business and function of the Health Department.

The Secretary Health M. Ishfaq Khan, Director General Health Services M. Sharif Khan, Special Secretary Health M. Akbar Khan, Additional Secretary Health Development, Sardar Saqib Raza Aslam, and officers / officials of the other concerned departments were also present on this occasion.

The Secretary informed the minister about matters of health department including hospital and its staff, ADP, PSD, projects for the year of 2013-14, current budget, challenges confronted by the department, medicines, availability of staff in remote districts, paramedics, BHU and TB Centres in the province.

The Minister while expressing satisfaction over performance of the health department underline the need of creating awareness about the health and diseases among the people. He said that growing ratio of population was a big cause in the increase of ratio of diseases and health department could play an active role to control this trend.
